About Allergic Contact Dermatitis
Allergic Contact Dermatitis (ACD) is a skin condition caused by a reaction to a contact allergen. The reaction will not occur upon first contact, but after the second third, or even repeat exposure to the same allergen. The most commonly known form of allergic contact dermatitis is the result of poison ivy, but other common contact allergens include gold and other metals, rubber, plants, fragrance, and more.
Many people have suffered from ACD for years without knowing an object/allergen they frequently have exposure to is causing the red, sore, and itchy reaction. In severe cases, individuals may even switch careers due to a diagnosis not being given.

Your participation in this clinical trial may help those that are suffering by giving clinicians a ready-to-use way to diagnose ACD to common metal allergens.
