Job Requirements

Our Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the clinic staff in front and back office settings. They provide a safe, knowledgeable, and professional care to all patients under the direction of provider and/or nurse and within their scope of practice.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (Training at our Phoenix Office)

What You’ll Do:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Room patients and assist provider as needed.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, always keeping room neat and clean
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly exam room cleaning, inventorying, and equipment checks.
  • Assist with scanning paperwork and uploading pictures into the EMR, scribing for provider.
  • Record new patients’ medical history, medications, allergies, and pertinent information in the EMR
  • Reinforce doctors’ instructions regarding procedures and results
  • Respond to patient and non-patient inquiries as necessary under provider direction

Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum one-year experience as an MA is preferred
    • Certified as a Medical Assistant is required
    • Dermatology experience preferred
    • Scribe experience preferred

Our Medical Front Office Specialist is responsible for helping oversee daily front desk operations of multi-physician and multi-practice locations.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday (on-site)

What You’ll Do:

  • Schedule patients for new/returning/follow-up appointments and provide all necessary information to prepare them for medical appointments and procedures. Initiates confirmation calls to patients to ensure the lowest possible no-show rate.
  • Check patients in and out
  • Collects co-payments at time of service, enters daily charges into the billing system, and maintains fee schedules
  • Verifies authorizations and accepts or transmits fax information for needed physician patient information
  • Organize and communicate with insurance companies for authorizations for therapies, testing and specialist referrals.
  • Enter patient health and insurance information

Skills and Experience:

  • Medical front office or patient service experience is highly preferred
  • Insurance verification experience highly preferred

Saguaro Dermatology is seeking a skilled and motivated Part-Time Mohs Surgeon to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to help build and expand our Mohs surgery program, with a clear pathway toward a full-time role and potential partnership.

The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery and comfortable providing high-quality patient care in both surgical and general dermatology settings. While the Mohs program is being developed, the provider will also see general dermatology patients to support practice growth and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Mohs Surgery and related reconstructive procedures
  • Provide general dermatology care as needed during practice growth phase
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to build and streamline the Mohs service line
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in Dermatology
  • Fellowship-trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery
  • Active state medical license
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and interpersonal skills
