Our New Nurse Practitioner: Passionate, Patient-Focused, and Ready to Make an Impact at Saguaro Dermatology
We’re thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Megan McBride, DNP at Saguaro Dermatology, an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner whose journey in medicine began with a dream to help others. Here’s a little more about her background, what drives her, and her approach to skincare!
What Led You to Choose the Medical Field and Dermatology?
I have wanted to be in the medical field since I can remember. Helping others in times of need was always my calling, and I started my career working in trauma. However, dermatology soon became my true passion. From skin cancer screenings to acne management, I find it incredibly rewarding to help patients achieve healthier, happier skin.
What Brought You to Saguaro Dermatology?
Saguaro Dermatology’s reputation and their dedication to patients made joining the team an easy decision. Being part of a growing practice and learning from a skilled group of colleagues is an incredible opportunity, and I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to serve our patients!
What Do You Love Most About Your Work?
I love the chance to build lasting relationships with patients of all ages. Seeing someone gain confidence in their skin brings me so much joy, and being part of that transformation is incredibly fulfilling.
Skin Care is Essential – What Step Do You Tell Patients to Never Skip?
SPF! Sunscreen is by far the most important skincare step, especially here in sunny Arizona. Daily sunscreen use helps prevent skin cancer and premature aging, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors safely.
How Do You Relax After a Busy Day?
My husband (Dr. McBride, who’s also part of the Saguaro Dermatology team!) and I enjoy taking walks with our mini Goldendoodle, Dolly, to unwind. I’m also working on my golf game – though I’ll admit it’s not always the most relaxing!
